MANILA, Philippines — Kat Tolentino remained grateful in celebrating her 30th birthday despite the circumstances after undergoing surgery caused by a ruptured appendix.
In a lengthy post on social media Tuesday, Tolentino described her recent hospitalization as “everything that could go wrong went wrong.”
Article continues after this advertisement“This was not how I wanted my 30th birthday to go. But maybe it was an experience God knew I needed. It’s funny saying that because why would He want this for me. This was probably the worst pain I’ve experienced, I had a fever for almost a week, and went to the [emergency room] twice because my condition was misdiagnosed. On top of that, there were also some other complications that came up. But because of God’s Grace he still protected me from the worse,” wrote the Choco Mucho star.

He reminded me that even when I felt like I was so far from Him he was still right there the whole time. He reminded me of my blessings and how loved I am.”
The star opposite spiker, who was discharged before her birthday, expressed her gratitude for all the well wishes and greetings and the enormous support of her family, loved ones, and the whole volleyball community.
