SANTA MAGDALENA, Sorsogon — Several towns in this province declared suspension of Friday classes as heavy rains brought by the shear line continuously affect the province.
The red rainfall warning raised by the state weather bureau around 11 p.m. on Thursday prompted 14 town mayors to issue their respective suspension orders in anticipation of severe flooding and potential landslides.
Article continues after this advertisementClasses at all levels in both private and public schools were suspended in the towns of Bulusan, Barcelona, Juban, Casiguran, Castilla, Matnog, Bulan, Pilar, and Gubat.

Schools in Sorsogon City and in the towns of Irosin and Magallanes were advised to adopt asynchronous learning mode while in-person classes remained halted.
